SHUQUALAK —  LueElla Scott Griffin, 97, died May 12, 2026, at her residence. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Charity Full Gospel Church in Crawford, with Sandra Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter U.M.C. cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Friday, at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Macon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Griffin was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Noxubee County, to the late Frank Scott and Mattie Mosley Scott. She was formerly employed at Scooba Manufactory and was a member or St. Peter’s Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Griffin; children, Betty Taylor Harris and Ted Griffin; and five siblings. 

She is survived by her children, Brenda Davis, George Griffin, both of Shuqualak, Julious Griffin of Birmingham, Alabama, Geraldine Foote, Robert Griffin Jr., both of Memphis, Tennessee, Guy Griffin of College Park, Georgia; and Murray Friggin of Flower Mound, Texas.
