MILLPORT, Ala. — Louise “Lucy” Turner Freeman, 90, died May 6, 2026, in Millport. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Dowdle Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Millport City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Turner was born January 4, 1936, in Lamar County, Alabama, to the late Grover Turner and Virginia Sloan Turner. She was a 1955 graduate of Millport High School and attended Vaughn’s Beauty College. She was formally employed at Bosch and as the owner of Louise’s Beauty Shop. She was a member of Millport Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton “Red” Freeman. 

She is survived by her son, Gary; and two grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Jason Rich, Jim Rich, Greg Turner, Terry Turner, Matthew Byars and Tucker Freeman.
