MILLPORT, Ala. — Lon Edward “Eddy” Wright, 79, died Nov. 26, 2025.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Dowdle Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the funeral home chapel. Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wright was born July 14, 1946, in Fayette. He was a graduate of Auburn University and was formerly in the pharmacy industry as the owner of Joe Golden Drug Store.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Wright; son,  Hal Allred; siblings, Cindy Wright, Meredith McPherson, Scott McPherson and Lance Wright; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Kyle Robertson, Mark Jordan, Pete Matthews, Mark Weathers, Claude Carter, Gable Allred and Drew Stevens.
