STARKVILLE — Linda Jean Sides Barksdale, 75, died Oct. 24, 2025, at her residence. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, at Welch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Adaton Baptist Church. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Welch Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Barksdale was born Oct. 28, 1949, to the late Floyd Rudolph Sides and Myrtle Sides. She was formerly employed in food service at Starkville Public Schools and was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Bruce Barksdale; children, Lori Yeatman and Kenneth Barksdale Jr.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
