ETHELSVILLE, Ala. — Lewis Verrille Britt, 77, died Feb. 5, 2026, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, at Pickensville First Baptist Church, with Tim Jones officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Britt was born March 23, 1948, in Ethelsville, to the late Leslie Verrille Britt and Ruby Jewell Harcrow Britt. He was a graduate of Liberty High School and was formerly employed with Gulf States in Starkville. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Lee Britt; and sister, Crolyn Britt.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer Fondren and Christy Gibson, both of Ethelsville, and Greg Britt of Brandon; siblings, Dale Britt of Ethelsville, Jimmy Rodgers, Sue Hagood and Pamela Britt, all of Columbus, and Linda Tilley of Aliceville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
