COLUMBUS — Lentie Lee “Lindsey” Davis Jr., 75, died Dec. 10, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Full Gospel Ministries, with Torrance Nash officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Davis was born Aug. 19, 1950, in Lowndes County, to the late Clara Harris and Lindsey Davis. He was formerly employed at Dixie Auto. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria J. Davis; daughter, Janice M. Davis; sisters, Evelina Williams, Georgia Carr, Josephine Williams, Ruby Davis and Rosie Mae Williams; brothers, Will Lee Williams, James Williams and John Williams; and one great-grandchild. 

He is survived by his children, Patrick Carter of Columbus and Loretta Davis Smart of Southaven; sister, Ruth Stearling of Columbus; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Lentie L. Davis III, Kristopher Davis, Dennis Smart III, Anterrio Davis, Steven Davis and Rodrick Dillard III
