MILLPORT, Ala. — Lawrence “Larry” Jerome Ellefson, 85, died Sept. 28, 2025, at his residence. 

Celebration of Life services will be from 5-7 p.m. at his home. Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Ellefson was born in 1940 in Rockford, Illinois, to the late Flenn and Lucille Ellefson. He was a self-employed master plumber. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Jason Funderburk, Eric Ellefson and Steven Ellefson; sister, Diana Pattinson; and brothers, Tommy Ellefson, Phillip Ellefson and Patty Weigel. 

He is survived by his wife, Jancie Sudduth Ellefson; daughters, Susie Ellefson, Tawnia Hanna, Michelle Corture and Kristie Funderburk; son, Scott Ellefson; sisters, Jeanie Meier, Shelia Fuentes, Cynthia Kinderman, Pamela Ellefson, Imelda Majeski; brother, Bernard Ellefson; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
