COLUMBUS — Latoya Shanta Hill, 41, died June 17, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Greater Mt. Zion Church, with Doran Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Hills was born July 29, 1984, in Macon, to Larry Tate and Veeletha Hill. She attended Columbus High School and was formerly employed with Burger King. She was a member of Jesus Christ Upper Room.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Chase Hill of Columbus; and siblings, Lakesha Hill of Brooklyn, New York, Daisy Buchanan of Texas, Precious Jasper of Hattiesburg, Sequoria Yates and Salarria Crook, both of Macon, Octavia Dismuke, Tyboris Griffin, NOvel Tate, Kyrie Tate, Roderick Dismuke and Rashad Dismuke, all of Columbus.

Pallbearers are Timothy Wilson, Nick Bonner, Lafredrick Jackson, Shun Jackson, Torey Harris and Terrance Colvin.
