WEST POINT — Larry Sims, 70, died June 6, 2026, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Cross Roads C.M.E. Church in Monroe County, with the Rev. Cheryl Penson officiating. Burial followed at Sykes Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the church. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sims was born Aug. 8, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Robert James Sims and Oteria Miller Sims.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria Gail Sims.

He is survived by his wife, Carmella Sims; and siblings, Ronald Sims of Hazelhurst and Bridget Hall of Huntsville, Alabama.
