COLUMBUS — Larry “Tick” Earl Jamison, 68, died Aug. 30, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Kingdom Vision Church, with Carl Swanigan officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carters’ Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Jamison was born April 18, 1957, in Columbus, to Tommy W. Jamison Sr. and the late Mary Conner Jamison. He attended Caldwell High school and was formerly employed at Baptist Behavioral, Baptist Memorial Hospital, Budweiser and City of Columbus Trotter Convention Center. 

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Mattie A. Jamison; children, Bianca Jamison of Columbus and Larry Jamisom of Northport, Alabama; brothers, Bennie King of Denver, Colorado, Curtis Jamison of Mobile, Alabama, Perry Jamison of Montgomery, Alabama, Tyrone Jamison of Atlanta, Georgia, and Van Jamison of Merced, California; and one grandchild. 

Pallbearers will be Sammie Doughty, Calvin Doughty, William Jamison, Dwight Doughty, Perry Jamison Jr. and Dwayne Weston.
