COLUMBUS — Larry Dale Baswell, 76, died at his residence.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Lowndes Funeral Home of Columbus.

Mr. Baswell was born Dec. 7, 1949, in Columbus, to the late Dewitt and Reta Price Baswell. He was a graduate of New Hope High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was formerly employed as a truck driver and a member of Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Baswell; and siblings, Kenneth Baswell, Gary Wayne Baswell, Penny Diane Baswell and Lisa Haas.

He is survived by his children, Larry Dale Baswell Jr., Jason Baswell, Heather Baswell, Christopher Baswell and Matthew Baswell; siblings, Katie Walker, Wanda McCrary, Clifton Baswell and Douglas Baswell; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
