MERIDIAN — LaKeshia Verdell, 39, died Aug. 9, 2025, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St.. John Full Gospel Church in Macon. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens in Columbus. Visitation is from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the church. Beck Funeral Home of Louisville is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Verdell was born Oct. 23, 1985, to Mattie Ruth Gavin Verdell and the late Tommie James Verdell. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama and was formerly employed at Anderston Baptist Hospital. She was a member of St. John Full Gospel Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her siblings, Nicole Verdell, Christopher Verdell, Diesha Verdell, Shmeka Verdell Vanhorn, Tommie Verdell Jr., Yvonne Bellamy and Ken Orr.
