COLUMBUS — Kevin “BUG” D. Davis, 53, died Nov. 24, 2025. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Seventh Street Centre, with the Rev. Kori Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Davis was born April 30, 1972, in Columbus, to Linda Ball and Sammie Ball. He was a 1990 graduate of Caldwell High School and attended Rust College. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was formerly employed as a supervisor at Weyerhaeuser. He was a member of St. James U.M. Church. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Derell Bell. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancée, Shareka Brooks; daughters, Aleyah and Alexia Davis, both of Columbus; brothers, Arnold Davis of Memphis, Tennessee, Andrew Bishop and Michael Ball; sisters, Samietra Smith and Samantha Smith, both of Columbus. 

Pallbearers will be Karlish Petty, Marcus Dawson, Arree Williams, Reggie Adams, Charles Colvin and Marcell Griffin.
