COLUMBUS — Kennedy Elester Roland, 62, died May 21, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at United Christian Baptist Church, with Leonardo Dismuke officiating. Visitation is from 4-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Roland was born Jan. 29, 1964, in Columbus, to the late George Benjamin Roland and Sarah C. Roland. He was formerly employed with the City of Columbus Public Works Department and was a member of Baptist Grove in Ethelsville, Alabama.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond E. Roland.

He is survived by his siblings, Martha Roland McCoy of Decatur, Georgia, Brenda K. Garner and Janice Tate, both of Columbus, Bettie A. Key of Stockbridge, and Andre Roland of Clarkston, Georgia.

Pallbearers are Larry Bigbee, Al Miller, Ronnie Clay, Jerry Covington, Andrew Craddieth, Timothy Robinson, Riceto Johnson, Gary Jeferson and Lyndell Evans.
