COLUMBUS — Kendrick “KJ” Bankhead, 3, died Nov. 5, 2025, at University Medical Center in Jackson. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Shiloh Full Gospel M.B. Church with Jerome Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Sturdivant Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Kendrick was born July 24, 2022, in Columbus, to LaKendricks Bankhead and Tonya Bankhead.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Lyric, LaKenya, LaKendricks Jr., Lazaria, Takiyah, Carmyn and Chelsea Bankhead.

Pallbearers are Sam Jones, Shondale Hayden, LaKendricks Bankhead Jr., Davion Irions and Howard Shelly.
