Kathy Wells, 64, was born on July 29, 1960, to the late Johnny Parnell and Vernice Miller Warner. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 11, 2025, in Birmingham, AL. She was the secretary for Gateway Tire in Starkville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two infant sons, Johnny and Rodney Wells; sister, Lisa Allen; and brothers, Johnny Wayne Parnell and James A. Parnell.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul Wells; daughters, Michelle Dean and Brandy Taggart, sister, Carolyn Edmonds; and grandchildren, Janna Taggart, Payton Dean, Paris Dean and Austin Williams, all of Starkville, MS.

The graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Curtis Chapel Cemetery in Starkville. Rev. Kenny Gardner will conduct the service.
