COLUMBUS — Kanyetta Maria Thomas, 39, died March 30, 2026, in Columbus.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Hairston and Hairston Funeral Homes Chapel. Burial will follow at Adams Cemetery in Aliceville, Alabama. Visitation is from noon-5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Hairston and Hairston Funeral Homes of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Thomas was born Feb. 3, 1987, in Aliceville, to Mary Thomas and the late Al “Kenny” Smith. She was a member of New Cannon Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by children, Ka’Niyah Maire Brown, Timothy Dewayne Brown Jr. and Don Terrance Henry Lee Brown; step-father, Troy C. “Dank” Williams; and siblings, Tammy Thomas, Tyrone Thomas, Lelia Jackson and Al Thomas.
