HYATTSVILLE, Md. — June Carolyn Keaton, 79, died Feb. 15, 2026, in Washington, D.C. 

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, at Sardis Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation will be from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Keaton was born Aug. 19, 1946, in Hamilton, to the late Oscar Lee Smith and Mary A. Danner. She was formerly employed as a station manager at WMATA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lander Keaton; and brothers, Ollie Danner and Lucian Nathaniel Smith. 

She is survived by her children, Marvin Keaton, Bernard Keaton and Carolyn Keaton; and sister, Rosie Diggs.
