MACON — Julius Clay, 74, died April 11, 2026, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Carter’s Funeral Services Chapel, with Armondo Adams officiating. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Clay was born July 11, 1951, in Macon, to the late Frank Clay Sr. and Edith Ramsey. He was formerly employed as a farmer and was a member of Boeka Valley Baptist Church in Electric Mills.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Dancy; and four siblings.
He is survived by his children, Felishes Clay, Tyrone Clay and Andrew Clay, all of Macon, Frederick Clay and Angela Clay, both of Scooba, Cynthia Renee Martin and Julius Clay III, both of Chicago, Illinois, and Jenessa Odeneal Thomas of Columbus; siblings, Betty Gunn of Columbus and Mary Nell Ramsey of Macon; 16 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren
