STARKVILLE — Julius Al-Uqdah, 74, died Fev. 19,  2026, at his residence. 

Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Sunday, at Islamic Center of Mississippi. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. Hairston and Hairston Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Al-Uqdah was born June 17, 1951, in Starkville, to the late Charels Childs and Martha Bardwell. He was formerly employed as a meat butter at Kroger. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Julius Hameed-Al-Uqdah. 

He is survived by his sons, Cedric Aquil Adams and Allen Kareem Bardwell, both of Conyers, Georgia; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
