STARKVILLE — Juliaphine “Phine” Collier, 91, died Sept. 5, 2025, at OCH Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Griffin Chapel U.M. Church, with Randy Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Rockhill U.M. Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 1-5 p.m. at Hairston and Hairston Funeral Homes. Hairston and Hairston Funeral Homes of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Collier was born Dec. 22, 1933, in Starkville, to the late Theodis and Jessie Mae Collier. She was a graduate of Oktibbeha County Training School and was formerly employed in the restaurant and tavern industry and as a nurse’s aid with the Oktibbeha County Hospital. She was a member of Griffin Chapel U.M. Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Pamela and Kenneth Collier; and siblings, John, Luther, Shirley, Lula and Tinnie.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Smith of Jackson, Douglas Collier of Starkville, Tina Collier of Clinton, and Dwight Collier of Gonzales, Louisiana; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
