SULLIGENT, Ala. — Johnny Lee Egger, 85, died Aug. 11, 2025, at DCH in Northport, Alabama. 

Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday, at Union Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Prospects Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Egger was born Jan. 19, 1940, in Sulligent, to the late Chester A. Egger and Addie Bell Strawbridge Egger. He was a graduate of Sulligent High School and was formerly employed at NACCO. He was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Jean Egger; and son, Christopher Lee Egger. 

He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Johnson and Deloris Barnes, both of Sulligent; sister, Lissie Catherine Roberts of Sulligent; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
