Mr. Johnny Glenn Earnest Sr., 72 of Caledonia, MS, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT in Columbus, MS.

Graveside Service will be Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS, with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, entrusted with all arrangements.

Mr. Earnest was born June 27, 1953, in Mississippi, to the late Shirley Bryant Grantham and Thomas Grantham. He worked many years as a high voltage lineman. Mr. Earnest loved gardening, fishing, hunting, and playing with his dog, Archie.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Earnest is preceded in death by his son, Troy Earnest.

Mr. Earnest is survived by his son, Johnny Earnest, Jr.; grandchildren, Nate Earnest, Devin Earnest and Sara Earnest; siblings, Debbie Coleman, Jerrylinn Earnest and Michael Earnest; brother-in-law, Benny Coleman; nieces, Laura (Lance) Dawkins, Amy (Allen) Hartsfield; and nephew, Matt (Stacy) Coleman.
