SULLIGENT, Ala. — Johnny Mack Brown, 82, died Oct. 17, 2025, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.Thursday, at Otts Funeral Home, with military honors and Steven Sanderson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brown was born Nov. 5, 1042, in Birmingham, to the late Aubrey Brown and Ruth Canant Brown. He was a graduate of Ensley High School. He was a veteran of the United State Navy and was formerly employed with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Birmingham. He was a member of Sulligent First Baptist Church. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Brown; and sisters, Bobbie Glass and Jerry Luker. 

He is survived by his sons, Chris Brown of Sulligent and Chad Brown of Boston, Massachusetts; brother, Bill Brown of McCalla, Alabama; and two grandchildren.
