STARKVILLE — Johnnie Norris Akins, 64, Feb. 3, 2026, in Starkville.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow. Visitation is from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday at West Memorial Funeral Home. West Memorial Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his siblings, Linda Williams-Young, Annie Crawford, Verlean Akins, Tommy Ervin, Walter Ervin and Willie Ervin, all of Starkville, Victoria Hill and JoAnn Ezell, both of Arlington, Texas, Nicole Akins of Fort Worth, Edna Lawrence of Pearl, Barbara Dotson of Flowood, Curtis Ervin of Ridgeland, and Charles Gillespie.
