WEST POINT — Johanna Rice, 74, died Oct. 19, 2025, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Robinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Robinson Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Rice was born Jan. 23, 1951, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Edwin Cromwell Rice and Sally Will Crawford Rice. She was a 1969 graduate of West Point High School and a graduate of Judson College and American University. She was formerly employed as an insurance adjuster and publisher of a public records newsletter.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Goree; and brother, Ed Rice.

Pallbearers are Sam Rice, Floyd Robinson, Walt Goree, Joseph Andol, Curt Friday, Bruce King and Ken Ivy.
