STARKVILLE — Joe Harold Morse, 76, died Oct. 17, 2025.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Welch Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clifton Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Welch Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Morse was born March 1, 1949, the late Julian and Mary Hazelwood Morse. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was formerly employed as a manager of State Superette, sales representative for Swedish Match, at Oktibbeha County Sheriff Department, bailiff for Oktibbeha County Circuit Court and as TBL Security Company. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Valerie Morse Sims and Mandy Morse. 

He is survived by his wife, Pat Josey Morse.
