SULLIGENT, Ala. – Joe Earl Glass, 65, died May 9, 2026, at Russellville Hospital in Russellville, Alabama. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Otts Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Marlin Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Glass Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Glass was born June 26, 1960, in Vernon, to the late Orange Glass and Mattie Moore Glass. He attended Sulligent High School and was formally employed as a mechanic. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bud Junior Glass; and sisters, Mattie Mae Glass and Janette Glass.

He is survived by his wife, Vanessa Glass; step-sons, Christopher Cox, Todd Cox and Brandon Cox, all of Charlotte, North Carolina; and nine step-grandchildren.
