ABERDEEN — Joe Arthur Ewing, 58, dies Oct. 4, 2024, at his residence. 

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Walker Grove Cemetery in Maben, with Henry Shelton officiating. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Ewing was born Nov. 10, 1965, in Clay County, to the late Wiley Ewing and Lizzie Mae Bean Ewing. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. 

He is survived by his wife, Marcie Ewing; son, Terrence Smith of Key West, Florida; daughters, Brittany Ewing of Jacksonville, Florida, Takeia Smith of Nettleton and Jaelyn Ewing of Aberdeen; brothers, Wiley Ewing Jr., James Ewing, Charles Ewing, all of Mantee, L.C. Ewing of Tupelo and David Ewing of Vardaman; sisters, Dorothy Pruitt, Bobbie Willis, both of Mantee, Annie Townsel of Starkville and Ruth Chandler of Pheba; and three grandchildren.
