KENNEDY, Ala. — Willie Jo Sanford Seay, 90, died Oct. 3, 2025. 

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, at Vernon Church of Christ. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Chandler Funeral Home of Vernon, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Seay was born April 23, 1935, in Kennedy, to the late Clyman A. Stanford and Jessie Kathleen (Dodson) Sanford. She attended Alverson-Draughon Business College in Birmingham and was formerly employed as a bookkeeper, secretary at Lamar County High School and as a legal assistant to District Judge Ed Gosa. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jessie Maureen Moore. 

She is survived by her husband, Olen Andrew Seay; children, Rhonda Kathleen, Bradley Andrew and Faith Adene; sister, Charlotte Ann Cross; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
