COLUMBUS — Jimmy L. Webber, 92, died Nov. 2, 2025, at Dugan Memorial Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at New Hope M.B. Church in Artesia with Thomas Rice officiating. Burial will follow at St. John M.B. Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Webber was born July 21, 1933, in Columbus, to the late William Murray Webber and Louvenia Odneal Webber. He was formerly employed as a truck driver at Mayflower Trucking and as owner and operator of Paradise Café, at Van Line, Bigbee Transportation and Parker Furniture.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Catherine Webber, Fredrick Webber, Lue Dell Webber, Robert L. Webber, Susie Pratt and Clara Anthony.
He is survived by his children, Lynn Kennedy, Barbara Webber Bell, Alicia Robinson, all of Columbus, Bruce Ferguson, Reginald Ferguson, both of Starkville, Anthony Ferguson of Tupelo, Marcus Ferguson of Knoxville, Janice Wright of Houston, Texas, Jeffery Webber of Memphis, Tennessee, Curtis Webber of Washington, DC, Tony Webber of Webber of Baltimore, Maryland, Kevin Smith of Kankakee, Illinois, Vincent Ferguson of Artesia, Tommy Ferguson of Atlanta, Georgia, and Oliver Hairston of St. Louis, Missouri; siblings, Roger Webber, Maurice Webber, Georgia Burns and Vickie Richardson, all of Columbus, Sallie McCaskill and Diana Webber, both of Peekskill, New York; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Levontay Ferguson, Shunta Ferguson, Brandon Shirley, Martez Ferguston, Roderick Dora and Eugene Brown.
