COLUMBUS — Jimmy Bolton died Dec. 27, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James UM Church in Columbus. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta, Georgia. Visitation is from noon-5 p.m. today at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Bolton was born Nov. 13, 1949, to Lena Mae Bolton and the late James Henry in Augusta, Georgia. He was a graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was previously employed with International Paper and Weyerhaeuser and Domtar. He was a member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church in Augusta. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara A. Williams. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jacqueline P. Bolton; children, Twiley Mack, Carlis Bolton and Germaine Bolton; brothers, Henry Lee Bolton, Jack Bolton and Jeffrey Bolton; sisters, Tammie Johnson and Brenda Bolton; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
