CARROLLTON, Ala. — Jewell Naomi Pinegar Cummings, 79, died Aug. 23, 2011, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services are Friday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Billy Little and Penny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in the Sapps Community. Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th St. NE, in Aliceville, Ala. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform, Ala. is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cummings was born July 28, 1932, to the late Charlie Pinegar and Tryvinia Gann Pinegar in Panola, Ala. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a retired employee of Westinghouse Electric and Huyck Felt Co. and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin O. Cummings Sr. of Carrollton; sons, Kenneth Martin of Gordo, Ala; Carl Martin of Sapps, Ala., and Orman Cummings Jr. of Collinsville, Ala.; and brother, Wayne Pinegar of Fayette, Ala. Pallbearers are Carl Martin Jr., Chris Martin, Tommy Martin, Michael Martin, Vince Carter and Ricky Lowery.
