WEST POINT — Jessie Mae Ivy, 65, died Oct. 31, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. 

Funeral services will be at noon Friday, at Town Creek M.B. Church, with Charles Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Thursday, at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Ivy was born Nov. 27, 1959, in Clay County, to the late Feggin Andrews Sr. and Ozzie Lee Cooperwood. She was formerly employed as an assistant teacher. 

She is survived by her husband, Jesse J. Ivy; sons, Dedrick Cooperwood, Roderick Cooperwood and Reginald Cooperwood; daughter, Jermika Cooperwood; brothers, James Cooperwood, Feggin “Jack” Andrews and Michael Hutchins Sr.; sisters, Bernice Swift, Eula Cooperwood, Jeanette Hollingshed, Sherri Leflore, Sabrina Wilson, Cynthia Paulfrey, Regina Williams and Sharon Andrews; and eight grandchildren.
