VERNON, Ala. — Jerry D. Robertson, 78, died Oct. 13, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at First Baptist Church in Vernon, with Joe Beckon and Brandon Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Robertson was born May 13, 1947, in Fayette, to the late Erbie D. Robertson and Helen Marie Crawford Robertson. He was a 1965 graduate of Lamar County High School and was formerly employed with General Tire. He was a member of Vernon First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Delane Robertson.

He is survived by his wife, Gina Benton Robertson of Vernon; daughter, Rhonda Rene Derst of Rincon, Georgia; stepchildren, Bridget Matthews and Scott King, both of Vernon; brother, Johnny Robertson of Vestavia Hills; one grandchild; and four step grandchildren.
