GATTMAN — Jerry “Hot Rod” Rasbury, 77, died Nov. 22, 2025, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at New Center Point Freewill Baptist Church, with Heath Webb and Bradley Long officiating. Burial will follow at Northington-Heard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, at Otts Funeral Home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Rasbury was born May 13, 1948, in Gattman, to the late Coy Bradley Rasbury and Vernell Smith Rasbury. He was a graduate of Sulligent High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was formerly employed in metal fabrication. 

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Northington Rasbury; daughter, Dana Kendrick of Starkville; son, Chad Rasbury of Gattman; brothers, Jackie Rasbury of Winfield, Alabama, Danny Rasbury of Beaverton, Alabama; sisters, Linda Pennington of Kennedy, Alabama, and Beverly Smith of Sulligent; and two grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Northington, Levi Northington, Jon-Michael Northington, Heath Smith, Garry Lawrence and Armonda “Money” McMillian.
