MADISON, Ala. — Jerry David Jones, 80, died Dec. 25, 2025. 

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Otts Funeral Home. Burial followed at Sizemore Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to services. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Jones was born Jan. 26, 1945, in Vernon, Alabama, to the late David E. “Bud’ Jones and Ruby Guyton Jones. He was a 1963 graduate of Lamar County High School and was a veteran of the Alabama National Guard. He was formerly employed with the Army Corp of Engineers and Alabama Power.  He was a member of Prattville Church of Christ. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Mixon Jones. 

He is survived by his son, Jeremy Scott Jones of Pell City, Alabama; daughter, Nicole Jones Earnst of Madison, Alabama; brother, Danny Jones of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
