COLUMBUS — Jeanette Smith, 83, died Dec. 28, 2025. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Full Gospel Ministry, with Maxine Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 21, 1942, in Columbus, to the late Ellis Windham and Eliza Windham. She was a graduate of Hunt High School and formerly employed at Flowers by Margaret, Noweta’s  and as owner of Flowers by Jeanette. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jessie Leigh; sisters, Ollie Theresa Wroten, Winetta Stewart, Annie Barry and Sarah Ann Brewer; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 

She is survived by her children, Pamela Davenport, Janice Smith, Lisa W Smith and Tarshon Phillips, all of Columbus; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Tyler Smith, Taekwon Reed, Ellis Barry, Eric Brewer, Ennis Brewer, Kamryn Stitten, Zion Reed, Tydariuz Wright and Charlie Owens.
