VERNON, Ala. — Jean Elizabeth DuBose, 94, died Feb. 9, 2026. 

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, at First Free Will Baptist Church, with Joe Beckon and Mike Dankson officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Free will Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Chandler Funeral Home of Vernon is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. DuBose was born April 14, 1931, in Amory, to the late Jasper and Nettie Corbett Yerby. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Cain DuBose; and sisters, Peggy Caraway, Neva McCowan and Edna Michell. 

She is survived by her children, Wesley DuBose, Amanda Freeman and Karla Norton; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
