James Whittle

CEDAR BLUFF — James Oliver “Jimmy” Whittle, 67, died Dec. 4, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cockrell Funeral Home. Burial followed in Soul Chapel Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Whittle was born Jan. 16, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Sam and Edna Rainey Whittle. He was a graduate of Central Academy and was formerly employed with Noubee Feed Company, in the maintenance department with Macon Brick Company, Bryan Foods in West Point, Ormans Welding, and ND Defense.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Whittle.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Whittle of Cedar Bluff; children, Shanna Robertson and Misty Bolden, both of West Point, and Tim King of Cedar Bluff; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
