WEST POINT — James Smith, 59, died Aug. 30, 2025, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Orlando Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove McCondy Cemetery in Una. Visitation will be at 4-6 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Carter Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
