SULLIGENT, Ala. — James D. Roberts, 60, died July 22, 2025, at his residence. 

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Otts Funeral Home, with Tom Ward officiating. Burial followed at Prospects Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Roberts was born Feb. 8, 1965, in Vernon, Alabama, to Dwayne Roberts and Lissie Catherine Egger Roberts. He was a graduate of Sulligent High School and the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He was formerly employed at Walmart and was a member of Crews Community Church. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Clinton Roberts of Sulligent; and sister, Sarah Roberts of Sulligent.
