COLUMBUS — James Henry “Bud” Peeks, 90, died Nov. 27, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. 

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, at Memorial Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Seay officiating. Burial will follow at Ethelsville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Peeks was born Jun 1, 1935, in Millport, Alabama, to the late Leon and Willie Mae Kelly Peeks. He was formerly employed at Airline Manufacturing and at Peeks Construction. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Peeks; brothers, Danny Peeks, Billy Ray Peeks, Frank Peeks, Jack Peeks, William Peeks and Bobby Joe Peeks; and sisters, Margie Nell Gaught. 

He is survived by his brothers, Wayne Peeks and Jerry Peeks, both of Millport, Alabama; sisters, Jewell Sandlin and Lisa Gibson, both of Oneonta, Alabama; and one grandchild. 

Pallbearers will be James Lee Fisher, Hunter Holman, J.J. Baswell and Michael Williams.
