WEST POINT — James E. Gladney, 74, died Aug. 24, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Northside Christian Church, with Clyde Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Gladney Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-5 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gladney was born March 10, 1951, in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late John Gladney and Georgia Mae Smith Gladney.

He is survived by his wife, Pierce Gladney; children, Freddie Harris, Jeffery Harris, Rosenda Gladney, Alma Morton and Sonia Harris; siblings, George Gladney and Mae Ruth Donnell; and 13 grandchildren.
