STARKVILLE — James Oliver Crawford Jr., 71, died Jan. 13, 2026, in Starkville.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Griffin U.M. Church. Burial will follow at New Prairie Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-6 p.m. Friday at West Memorial Funeral Home. West Memorial Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his children, Perrita Ellis, Latarus Ellis, Jarvis Ellis, Cody Crawford and Cory Crawford, all of Starkville, and Jason Ellis of Jackson; siblings, Darrell Crawford, Ross Crawford, Gretel Carlene Chandler and Felicia Crawford, all of Starkville, Marshall Crawford of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Linfred Crawford of Atlanta, Georgia, and Lizze Fulmore of Blythewood, South Carolina; and several grandchildren.
