WEST POINT — James Lewis Buchanan, 58, died Oct. 12, 2025, in Vardaman.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Vardaman High School Gymnasium, with the Rev. Clarence Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow at Popular Springs Cemetery in Eupora. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the school. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Buchanan was born Aug. 30, 1967, in Calhoun City, to Cora Lee Buchanan and the late Bobby Joe Buchanan.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Bobby Earl Buchanan, Clarence Earl Buchanan, Donnie Buchanan, Sheila White, Linda Moore and Thelma Buchanan.
