WEST POINT — Jamel D. Banks Sr., 40, died Nov. 25, 2019, at his residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Northside Christian Church, with the Rev. Fluid Carr Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam/Mhoon Valley Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-6 p.m. today at Carter’s Mortuary Service Chapel. Carter’s Mortuary Service of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Banks was born July 13, 1979, in West Point, to Willie Mae Spraggins and the late Emette Banks. He was formerly self-employed as owner of a detail shop. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancée, Quandra Gillespie; daughters, Jamia Webber and Jaiya Banks; brother, Mac Spraggins, and sister, Adriane Spraggins.
