WEST POINT — Jackie Bryant Sr., 70, died Aug. 11, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel, with Jimmy Bryant officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bryant was born Feb. 20, 1955, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to the late John and Rosie Lee Redd Bryant. He was formerly employed at Jonestown Grain Elevator and as a manager, operator, crane operator, welder and tugboat captain at Tom Soya Grain in Muldon and West Point.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Byron L. Gore Sr.; and brothers, Quincy, Mason and Ray Bryant.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Hudson Bryant; children, April Danovsky, Jackie Lee Bryant Jr., Jason Bryant and Andy Bryant, all of West Point; brothers, James Bryan of Pontotoc and Byron Gore Jr. of Clarksdale; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
