COLUMBUS — Isaac Lacy Jr., 56, died June 29, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Southside M.B. Church, with Rayfield Evins Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lacy was born Sept. 21, 1968, in Columbus, to the late Lillie Pearl Lacy and the Rev. Isaac Lacy Sr. He was a 1986 graduate of S.D. Lee High School and formerly employed as a truck driver at Mississippi Material and Swift Transportation, as a bus driver at S&S Tours and Columbus Municipal School District, as a security officer at Wal-Mart, and as a technician at Carl Hogan, Robinson Janitorial and Columbus Air Force Base Commissary.

He is survived by his wife, Shelia Lacy of Columbus; children, Anika Lacy, Andrea Lacy, Isaac Lacy III, Sherrece Lacy and Armonni Smith; siblings, Patricia Uloko of Columbus, Mary Lewis of Tacoma, Washington, and Sharon Lacy of Albany, Georgia; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tony Chillers, Taurus Petty, John Lee Kidd, Tommy Kidd, Isaac Lacy III and Morris Saddler.
