COLUMBUS – Ida Washington, 93, died Dec. 13, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, at New Prospect M.B. Church Cemetery, with Robert Henley officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from noon-5 p.m. Saturday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Washington was born June 11, 1927, in Crawford, to the late Fayette Randle and Muggie Jackson. She was formerly employed as a housekeeper with the Holiday Inn and was a member of New Prospect M.B. Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Washington; and siblings, Solomon Randle, James Randle, Spencer Randle, Wallace Randle, Estella Randle, Odvie Jackson, Sam Jackson, David Jackson, Robert Jackson, Earl Jackson, Melissa McGee, Charlotte Brewer, Charlotte Sloan, and Margie Lawrence. She is survived by her children, Brendell Washington and Mollie A. Harris, both of Columbus, Mary A. Kroma of Dallas, Texas, and Jerry Washington of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Betty House of Starkville; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
